PurrProp+ is the third generation (now with HLF) and is a two-stage coating system for shafts, propellers, rudders etc,

PurrProp+ uses a process named HLF (hydration layer formation) — and is a cutting-edge strategy in marine science. This approach creates a "physical and energetic barrier" that limits marine organisms (like barnacles, algae, and bacteria) from attaching. The first stage is the PurrProp+ Etch Primer/Base Coat. This white or coloured, high modulus epoxy-based product is designed to etch and adhere tenaciously to the bare metal surfaces being treated. The second stage of the system is the PurrProp+ CLEAR COAT. This product is a silicone-based, clear in appearance, and has a super slippery surface that will resist plant and marine growth. The total system can be applied by tradesmen and amateurs alike.

We package in a one-size kit (for mass production and to keep prices low), but we have a 3 standard-sized kit price structure starting at Kit #1 through to Kit #3. Kit #1 (small), Kit #2 (medium = kit #1 x 2), and continues through to those kits as used on larger vessels #3 (large = Kit #1 x 3)

PurrProp+ is a result of continual refinement, and it is now so remarkably different from the original PurrProp that people are amazed. The Etch Primer/Base Coat is a completely different resin system (Currently it will withstand 98% sulphuric acid for 1 year, and so no seawater will change its composition). The new chemical formulation bond of the Etch Primer/Base Coat to the CLEAR COAT is almost impossible to separate. And the new CLEAR COAT formulation is thin, smooth, glossy, and hard, so as to give a longer life to the application. A quick clean down and an additional coat of CLEAR COAT (if needed) is all that is needed next time the boat comes out on the hard. PurrProp+ is by far, the most advanced system available, and while the price has been revised, this reflects the extra technology that is incorporated within the product, so that the owner can get a long life from the product.
