Polyurethane Clear Coat is a Super High Gloss Clear Polyurethane Finish

Polyurethane Clear Coat is a non-yellowing, super high-gloss polyurethane finish ideal for protecting interior and exterior wood surfaces. Our advanced, heavy-duty formula provides a stunningly shiny, durable finish originally designed for high-traffic residential and industrial use, but ideal for crafters wanting a quick gloss finish.

Coverage & Application

Approximate Coverage: 7 sq m per litre. Expect less coverage on bare, rough, or unsealed surfaces.

Coats Recommended: 2 full coats for proper application and film thickness.

Application Method: Brush or roller (use 8mm (3/8″) nap mohair or lambskin roller). Roll in one direction, rewet, then cross roll.

Dry & Recoat Times

Dries to Touch: 24 hours. (Lower temperatures/higher humidity will slow times).

Recoat Window: Second coat can be applied within 24 hours of the first.

Foot Traffic: Resume within 48–72 hours after applying the second coat.

Usage Limitations & Preparation

Temperature Limits: Do not apply if the material, substrate, or ambient temperature is below 45°F (7°C) or above 95°F (35°C).

Surface Preparation:

Thoroughly clean wood surfaces, if water has been present? Allow surface to dry completely for a minimum of 24 hours before application.
