Platinum DCM - Deep Cast Max is a new and revolutionary water-clear Epoxy Resin that is perfect for river tables, huge deep castings from 20mm through to 150 mm. in one go, with the maximum temperature of the resin still staying under 50 deg C! Platinum Epoxies (Australian-owned) is a world leader in developing cutting-edge Epoxies.
This exceptional resin has taken the market by storm. Simply mix up your resin and never worry about it overheating. Exceptionally water-clear and formulated to remove bubbles easily (so you hardly need to torch the surface), just pour it and forget! Now, dream of what you want to create while using DCM resin, and it is now possible!
Sure, Platinum DCM costs a little more (but not too much). It is so worth that extra money to have the stress removed when working on a huge casting. Amateurs can now tackle larger projects without pressure, while Professionals can achieve stunning results that meet the demands of their clients. Inserts can be encapsulated without fear of charring or melting. Platinum DCM is a very thin resin, which allows for easy flow into difficult areas as well as being great for bubble release.
A simple mixing ratio of 2 parts UniBase “A” Resin to 1 part “B” Hardener by WEIGHT (scales are available cheaply from us -click here). Mix amount? Up to 200 ltrs on one pour. DCM is part of the UniBase system, where one base resin can be mixed with 8 different hardeners to produce many resin systems.
When making Rivertables or similar projects? Usually, our customers are not in a rush, and so we made this resin so that you will not get stressed for time. You can mix your resin and spend as much as 2 hours in pouring, positioning, and making sure that all is OK? That gives time to get the bubbles out of the timber or other encapsulated components for that bubble-free, water-clear product. We made it so that it stays cool, regardless of the volume (giving you long, stress-free working time). Initial thickening or gelling is within 5 hrs, reasonably hard usually within 24 hours and with a full cure in about 3 days or so, depending on the weather, to reach the shure 85D hardness. If you need faster working times? Then we have other resins that will work for you.
* Platinum DCM, can easily cast from 20mm through to 200 mm in pour depth?. Platinum DCM is used solely for volume casting projects as it is a premium resin, at a premium cost. For shallow pours or when needing a coating resin, we have other resins specially made to coat or cast in the shallower range
*Once cured, the surface will be nice and hard with a Shure Surface Hardness of 85D
If your use for this Platinum DCM to cast a river table or such? Then, while the surface finish is hard and fine to use as is? Maybe as a suggestion only? You may like to further protect your beautiful creation with a thin layer of high-temperature and high-hardness coating resin, such as Platinum HiTemp 140 (click here to find out more)

Please Note: This product is a very pure epoxy, and acts similarly just like pure honey (during Winter, honey is thicker, and yet in Summer, that same honey is very thin and runny). So, too it is with many epoxies. Just like pure honey, which sometimes turns into sugar, pure Epoxy resin can act similarly and develop crystals (usually in part A). This is not from faulty resin, but the common thought is that it is from the cyclic hot days and cold nights when stored. An easy fix is to heat the jugs in boiling hot water for about 30 minutes, and this will restore the resin to be clear. That heating is also a good thing to help remove air bubbles trapped in the epoxy due to transportation. Let cool before use.
If I have to do a critical pour or application, as a tip, I heat the jugs in near-boiling water the day before the pour to remove any possible crystals or transportation bubbles and then let them cool down ready for the day of my pour. Additionally, when mixing the two parts, I decant them into the mixing container by pouring down the side of the container using the lower viscosity hardener first, followed by the base resin. All of this effort is to try to limit any possible air bubbles from forming that could ruin the finished product. Even when mixing, I use a wide rule and do not take it off the bottom of the mixing container. Mixing is crucially important to get the best results and can take from 3 - 5 minutes.
Note: Always close the caps after each usage; otherwise, the contents might turn cloudy and skin might form if the bottle cap is left open.

Stringent production processes, including testing at the time of production and further testing at the time of packaging, are all designed to prevent any possible faulty products from being sent to customers. 99.9% of customer-reported faults can be traced back to user error. We request that the customer complete a resin test before reporting a possible fault. For testing of resin, use the following link: Resin testing. Additionally, when products are sold to thousands of users worldwide without problems coming from the same source, the individual problems are mostly traced back to user error.
Some customers require additional information to help make their choices.
The pages being created include technical datasheets, safety data sheets, help sheets for usage, etc., and we hope that this will act as a service in helping customers gain maximum results from these stunning resins.
The new help pages are progressively populated. Please click on the link that follows: HELP PAGES

I recently purchased your Ultra Clear resin for a bench top renovation. We live in a very dated house and decided to update the kitchen, but we are on a budget.
Great resin, quick delivery. Made a new top for my dinning table that was looking old. Happy with the ocean inspired look!
Great products. Delivered to your door within the time stated. Just ordered another lot!
