Platinum Art Class epoxy resin has been specially formulated for Resin Artists, badge manufacturers for doming, and people like tumbler manufacturers who require quicker turnover of their products. It is ideal for those running classes to give their students the best chance to get great results. It is seriously difficult to make mistakes as it is mixed at a 1:1 ratio by weight.
Teachers love the fact that it is non-toxic and a non-dangerous good (you can pop it into the post). So perfect for schools doing resin classes.
Platinum Art Class epoxy is just one of over 50 different resins from Platinum and a range that includes the world-famous Platinum 360+ (sold around the world) and the hugely popular Platinum Ultraclear.
Both working times and cure times of Platinum Art Class epoxy are subject to weather conditions.
Technical information is listed below:
1 Application: Platinum Art Class is an epoxy resin cured at normal temperature and low temperature. It is easy to operate, fast curing, it has strong adhesion, and can be further cured by heating if required. It is ideal for Resin Artists creating wave effects but is equally specially used for electronic component casting, metal bonding, electronic product bonding, wood bonding, hard material bonding and mould infusion, as well as other electronic parts insulation, moisture-proof casting to 10mm.
Individual kits can be purchased or in bulk for those creating classes (good discounts when purchasing in bulk)
TSD and SDS are available from the manufacturer.
Please Note: This product is a very pure epoxy and acts similarly to pure honey (during Winter, honey is extremely thick, and yet in Summer, that same honey is very thin and runny). So too it is with epoxies. Just like pure honey, which sometimes turns into sugar, pure Epoxy resin can act similarly and develop crystals (usually in part A). This is not from faulty resin, but the common thought is that it is from the cyclic hot days and cold nights when stored. An easy fix is to heat the jugs in very hot water for about 30 mins and this will restore the resin to be perfectly clear. That heating is also a good thing to help remove air bubbles trapped in the epoxy due to transportation.
If I have to do a critical pour or application, as a tip, I heat the jugs in near-boiling water the day before the pour and let them cool down for the day of my pour. Additionally, when mixing the two parts, I decant into the mixing container by pouring down the side of the container using the lower viscosity hardener first, followed by the base resin. All of this extra effort is to try to limit any possible air bubbles from forming that could ruin the finished product. Even when mixing, I use a wide rule and do not take it off the bottom of the mixing container. Mixing is crucially important to get the best results and can take from 3 - 5 minutes.
Note: Always close the caps after each usage, otherwise the contents might turn cloudy and skin might form if the bottle cap is left open. Larger quantities are available upon request, please contact us.
Suspected faulty product: Stringent production processes including testing at production, and further testing at packaging, are designed to prevent any possible faulty product from being sent to customers. 99.9% of customer-reported faults can be traced back to user error. We request that the customer complete a resin test before reporting a possible fault. For testing of resin, use the following link: Resin testing Additionally, when products are sold to thousands of users worldwide, without problems coming from the same source, any individual problems are mostly traced back to user error.
Some customers require additional information to help make their choices.
The pages being created include technical datasheets, safety data sheets, help sheets for usage, etc. and we hope that this will act as a service in helping customers gain maximum results from these stunning resins.
The new help pages are progressively populated. Please click on the link that follows: HELP PAGES

I recently purchased your Ultra Clear resin for a bench top renovation. We live in a very dated house and decided to update the kitchen, but we are on a budget.
Great resin, quick delivery. Made a new top for my dinning table that was looking old. Happy with the ocean inspired look!
Great products. Delivered to your door within the time stated. Just ordered another lot!
